Hello,
It's been another very busy week for me here in Juno Beach,
Florida. (Because of my home-based Internet businesses,
I'm able to escape the frigid Northeast by living in sunny
south Florida for six months!)
As the weather continues to be cold in the North, we
continue to have visitors! My grandparents (Bop and Pap)
were here for a few days, and Doug and I also spent time
in Miami where we saw Clay Aiken in concert at the American
Airlines Arena. In addition to my Internet work, I've also
been very busy working with PawsWatch, a non-profit cat
rescue group based in Rhode Island.

Today, I'm going to wrap up (for now!) my discussion on
online newsletters, and at the same time, venture into my
next series of articles:
*What you can do to get traffic to your site?*
I get emails all the time saying,
"Jenn - PLEASE tell me what you do to
get traffic to your site and how you get
people to actually BUY your products."
A lot of people have products to sell and websites up
and running on the Internet, but they don't make any
money because they don't have traffic coming to their
websites.
I always say that it is one thing to get your business
started. It is quite another to have people that you
don't know come to your website, read about what you are
offering, take out their credit cards, and make a purchase.
Next week, we'll continue with more *concrete ways* to get
targeted people to come to your site and spend money while
they are there! I will talk about the things that I
personally do to make money with my online businesses.

Your Online Newsletter
Part 4 - Getting Subscribers

Today, I will continue with Part 4 of my series on the
importance of an Online Newsletter. If you missed

I truly believe that a free online newsletter is the
#1 most important advantage you can give yourself on
the Internet. Whether you 1) already have a home-based
business, 2) are looking to start one from scratch, or
3) have a traditional business - arming yourself with
a quality online newsletter will change your bottom
line forever.
Once people opt-in to your newsletter, your subsequent
emails are not annoying SPAM, but rather a welcome
source of information to your customers.
***That's the key! The subscribers have easily and
painlessly identified themselves and have agreed to be
contacted.***
Over the last few weeks, we discussed what an online
newsletter (e-zine) is, the purpose of a free newsletter,
and the benefits you will receive from it.
I also pointed out the benefits of having a subscriber
base in place when you launch a new product. Re-read
Part 3 of this series in my journal to find out how I
made $3,700 in less than a week by doing absolutely NO
marketing when I launched a new product.
[ NOTE: Even if you don't have a product or business
established yet, you should still start your own online
newsletter. At the beginning, you will just provide your
subscribers with information. When you launch your
business and get your website up and running, you will
already have a group of people to announce it to! Don't
delay. Start your online newsletter and begin to
establish a reputation in the industry in which you are
looking to start your business.]
My goal has always been to get as many newsletter
subscribers as possible:
Visitors = Newsletter Subscribers = Loyal Customers
I'm an active reader of work-at-home messages boards -
they provide me with many helpful ideas and topics relating
to my Internet businesses.
A few weeks ago, I copied down this quote from a poster..
she said: "I've actually gotten calls from potential
clients who say, 'I'm not sure where I heard of you - it
seems like everywhere I look, there you are.'"
Her statement is so very true! Especially on the Internet.
Take Corey Rudl for example. This guy is an Internet
marketing genius. And, he is EVERYWHERE. When surfing,
I see his banner or name appear at least 3 times a day!
He truly is everywhere on the Internet, and that is one
of the keys to his success.
Becoming visible on the Internet is possible for any
business - it just takes solid time and effort, and knowing
how to go about it. My goal with this newsletter is to
introduce you to many different ways to get yourself out
there.
So, how can you can immediately begin to get subscribers
to your online newsletter AT NO COST? Where can you start?
-- Online Newsletter DIRECTORIES.
There are numerous websites that provide access to large
directories of e-zines, complete with subscription infor-
mation, and publisher contact information.
I would recommend that you start by listing your newsletter
in these databases. Remember, the key is to gain exposure
and visibility on the Internet. The more the better.

Anything that you can do to publicize your online newsletter
is well worth the time and effort it takes.

traffic to your site. I will discuss what I do to get people
to buy my products online. The techniques that I'll talk
about will also help you get more newsletter subscribers in
the process.
