Hello!
What a week it has been! I had SO much fun on Sunday
watching the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl.
Tom Brady - What can I say?! I put up a few pictures

Also, I woke up on Monday morning to find a WONDERFUL
email in my inbox. One of my online businesses that I
run is called SportsToSchool.com.
In a nutshell, SportsToSchool helps high school athletes
get recruited to play sports in college. We take the
opposite approach that recruiting services take. We
believe that high school athletes and their parents
must take a proactive role and get involved with the
recruiting process. High school athletes must put
themselves out there, contact college coaches
themselves, and get noticed.
We provide the high school athletes with their own
websites where they can showcase themselves, their
pictures, their stats, etc. We also provide them with
a database of college coaches and their contact
information. We also have many bonuses that we offer
including sample recruiting letters, phone scripts,etc.
On Monday, we got this email from Patrick Dunn, a father
of one of our SportsToSchool members:
"You have a great tool here. I e-mailed Ryan's
[his son's] SportsToSchool web page to many coaches
in the Great Lakes area. They all responded to it and
after several visits to different universities Ryan
was offered a football scholarship at Tiffin University
in Ohio.
Tell your customers if they do a little work and get
the student athletes name out there to these colleges
and universities, they all will come calling. Again,
many thanks, your product is outstanding....

I am thrilled! We have high school athletes in all 50
states and in 35 countries around the world using our
service. The fact that we are helping kids get college
scholarships is very rewarding.
In terms of building a business online and earning a
living from it - there is no doubt. It is certainly
possible. You just need to take the initiative and
create a product that your audience will need, and
market, market, market!
Not long ago, my cousin, John, came to me with the
hopes of beginning a business from home. I immediately

Your Online Newsletter
Part 2 - Why Give Your Newsletter Away For Free?

Today, I will continue with Part 2 of my series on the
importance of an Online Newsletter. If you missed

I truly believe that a free online newsletter is the
#1 most important advantage you can give yourself on
the Internet. Whether you 1) already have a home-based
business, 2) are looking to start one from scratch, or
3) have a traditional business - arming yourself with
a quality online newsletter will change your bottom
line forever.
Once people opt-in to your newsletter, your subsequent
emails are not annoying SPAM, but rather a welcome
source of information to your customers.
***That's the key! The subscribers have easily and
painlessly identified themselves and have agreed to be
contacted.***
Why should you give your newsletter away for free?
The purpose of a free newsletter is clear:
A free newsletter converts subscribers into buyers who
not only purchase from you once, but again, and again,
and again.
* People need to hear from you over and over before
they buy. I'm sure you've heard the old adage that
people need to see or hear about you many times before
they buy. It can take many months before subscribers
make their first purchases.
Your free newsletter can help you keep the lines of
communication open so that when your subscribers are
ready to make a purchase, you are still present in
their minds.
* Your newsletter is truly the best form of free
advertising.
Your newsletter enables you to maintain constant
communication with your subscribers at virtually no
cost.
Your subscriber base ultimately becomes the audience
for your advertising. As long as you consistently
provide them with valuable content, you can include
plugs for your products as well.
* Your newsletter helps you establish a connection
with your subscribers.
A regularly distributed newsletter is a wonderful way
to build a relationship with your target audience.
Give your subscribers good information, and they will
remain loyal to you.
I personally subscribe to a handful of newsletters that
are extremely valuable to me. I feel like I personally
know the Editors, and I trust what they say. They have
been providing me with information for years, and if
they strongly recommend a product, I take a serious
look at it.
The newsletter for my first Internet business worked
the same way. People came to my site and subscribed to
the free newsletter, but were not yet ready to purchase
my products.
After receiving my newsletter week after week, our
relationship began to grow, and they came to think of
my company as a credible source of information. Over
time, a good percentage of my subscribers eventually
ordered one or more of my products.
* Your newsletter opens the door for repeat sales.
If you develop a strong newsletter subscriber base and
contact them frequently and consistently with desirable
information, you are creating a foundation for a
business relationship and labeling yourself as an
expert in your field. This reputation not only helps
you generate a first sale from a customer, but it leads
to repeat sales as well.
If you truly make an effort to help your customers, and
you are honest and credible, your customers will
continue to buy from you and will look seriously at
other products that you recommend.
